TAG Timing Advance Group

In 5G, TA is used to ensure uplink transmission arrive at the gNB time-aligned.
A TAG is a set of one or more carriers that share the same timing advance value.
The network can configure multiple TAGs per UE, allowing different uplink carriers to be advanced by different TA commands.
Each TAG is identified by TAG ID.

In Carrier Aggregation or Dual Connectivity uplink carriers can originate from different Frequency Bands with potentially different propagation delays.
